For over 15 years Tanzeed has had positive impact on climate change, energy and environmental conservation across three continents within government, industry, businesses and communities. As Managing Director and Founder of Earth Matters Consulting, he leads the firm’s work to address the climate crisis and human development challenges.
This involves leading relationships with key businesses and government clients to help develop net zero climate change strategies and plans, building resilience to climate change and supporting their efforts on environmental sustainability. He is currently supporting the UK government’s PACT Program on skill sharing as a climate change expert. Tanzeed is also the Climate Change Convener for the EU-GCC Clean Energy Technology Network, which is a programme funded by the European Commission.
His clients in the Middle-East region have included PriceWaterhouseCoopers, ENGIE Middle-East, South & Central Asia, Emirates Nature-WWF, the Government of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and more recently the giga projects in Saudi Arabia. Previously, Tanzeed worked as Climate Change & Energy Director for WWF UAE, as Science Policy Advisor for Energy & Climate Change at the UK’s independent scientific academy, the Royal Society and at a UK consultancy ‘CarbonSense’, helping businesses develop strategies and plans to address climate change. Tanzeed has a post graduate MSc in Conservation from University College London and a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from the University of Edinburgh.
