Sustainable Logistics with UAE Alliance for Climate Action

We have pledged in promise to drive sustainable logistics with the UAE Alliance for Climate Action (UACA) at COP28 in Dubai.

Our Head of Supply Chain, Ahmed Kadous, represented our commitment at UACA's Road2.0 event, at the MOU signing in the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28). This pledge signifies a shared vision and a concrete plan of action to decarbonize road transport, contributing to a greener future for the UAE.

In addition to the pledge signing, a panel discussion took place on the topic. The dialogue centered around innovative strategies for transforming commercial road transport—an area we are deeply invested in, as evidenced by our pledge to Net Zero emissions by 2039.

In 2023, we marked a significant step towards this goal by introducing the region's first EV 40 Ton truck. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to integrate alternative fuels and sustainable practices across our operations. We have piloted the use of biofuel derived from cooking oils collected from UAE restaurants, while also being among the pioneers in partnering with Etihad Rails for cross-border transportation.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to collaborate and innovate, ensuring the success of our sustainability objectives and Road2.0.
